Moving On….

There is a time in life that you realize that where you were, where you are, is not where you should be. Sometimes it comes with much worry, anger, disappointment, and sometimes the words family can use are not forgotten. They just give disappointment, anger, and disbelief. Your idea may be helping them, providing for them to make a better home, but only told your a guest, when all along you thought you were family.

My husband and I are both disabled with health problems, both of us are needing surgery eventually but are waiting impatiently for the moment we can get to the point of having the RV of our dreams, and be able to travel, be where we want to be, see the country, and most importantly, just breathe. We deserve calm, serenity, and to be able to enjoy this beautiful world God has given us before our time comes to leave this earth. It won’t be easy but what is in life. We have two wonderful fur babies and look forward to just the 4 of us living life as we choose every day. We look forward to meeting new people along the way. We look forward to just loving one another and being happy.

I will be having cornea transplants on my eyes very soon. During that time I won’t be able to do nightly blogs, but I will when I can. I have lost most of my vision due to a rare eye disease and my last hope of having vision is the transplant surgery. I am so ready for it as I have been wanting it for sometime. I have my first consultation on Thursday and will know more after that date. I will share as I want those of you that enjoy reading blogs to see my journey through my eyes. If I am successful and able to get good vision again, I will be in awe of the beauty of life in the simplest ways. I’m sure I will shed tears but of happiness and hope. Yes, it’s scary but what isn’t. From the most minor things to the most important can be life altering but when you’re faced with challenges, you find that strength inside you deep inside and you learn to fight every step of the way. It will take you to great heights and you will learn of your value and realize you are strong! You are powerful! You can face whatever comes your way.

So never give up! Whether it’s your health, your dreams, and your peace, Never stop your dreams! At first my blog posts will have a bit more about my surgery until I’m able to share more about our RV plans, actions we are taking to get there and the ups and downs of RV life when you start completely over in your latter 60s. The unknown that comes with that is the scariest but it also can be breathtaking in a positive way.

Being disabled and older doesn’t mean you can’t do something, it just means you make adjustments, and learn what you can or can’t do and find your happy place in doing them. So until next time, Welcome to our blog! We look forward to meeting many of you along the way. If you ever see us, be sure and say hello as we love to make new friends.
