Downsizing…

I had no idea how hard it was to set up the inside of an RV with all your stuff. Even though we had sold most everything after we sold the house, we still kept what we thought we would need. First of all, downsizing is one of the hardest things and easiest things to do. It’s hard to get rid of things that have memories attached to them but we have to remember the memories will always be with you. Take pictures if you need to if that helps. The key is that once you have downsized and allowed a little time to accept the change and for some, like myself, it was major. If you allow yourself to realize I don’t have as much to clean, to store, things in the way, etc. We are close to 70 and at this age, you like to have things off the floor, easier to care for, and safer for you over all health. There does come a sense of peace with it. I’m not close to it yet lol, but we are still unpacking. We have two sheds to finish going through but neither one is stuffed full but in two different states so at least it paces that work for us lol Goodwill likes us right now lol A LOT!! lol

Anyway, today my project is organizing toiletries, bandaids, etc. My husband is picking up some containers for me when he goes into town, so that I can get busy. I’d like to be done by tonight but welllllll, we all know how that goes lol. For those of you that are in the Facebook group 60s and over rv’ers., I’m sure you understand lol

Going to order dinner out tonight from an awesome diner less than 2 miles from us so looking forward to that. All in all, this transition is a process. The key is to take your time, take breaks away from the work, and enjoy the reason you have made this major life change. Once we retire, travel, it becomes an interesting journey. Just enjoy life!!! Breathe!! it’s our time now!! (if there are some typos, bear with me, not having a good vision day.)
